Micah Bowie was born and raised in the Bay Area. With the many skills and hobbies he has under his belt, he has traveled through Europe extensively, and has a background in urban art also known as graffitti. He likes to spend time working in the garden or sitting in the yard to draw. He has been working with children for the past seven years, and believes being a child educator gives him more power to create and experiment with his art.
I've been asked several times what my work is about, as have most other artists. I have been steadily active with creative projects since I was very young. Having moved around the west coast, and finally finding my place in the Bay Area, I have experienced many different perspectives on how people relate to art.
Most of my work is very neutral and sometimes bleak. Yet it somehow attracts and stimulates people. To me that is the purpose of art. I feel on the whole that I am still growing and experimenting as an artist.
